"Love Sex Magic," from her upcoming third studio release Fantasy Ride, lays aside pretentions of deep meaning and instead encourages a fun-filled trip to the dance floor. Co-written and performed with Justin Timberlake, the song rides a beat that brings simultaneous echoes of 70's R&B and classic Janet Jackson.
Justin Timberlake has proven himself to be one of the most valuable collaborators in the pop music industry. He has contributed to big hit singles by Black Eyed Peas, Timbaland, Madonna, and Rihanna. There is real vocal magnetism here between Ciara and Justin. You can almost feel the pair smiling through the grooves.
Ciara hasn't been to the pop top 10 since her first album. That funky guitar and appearance by Justin Timberlake may be just enough to carry her back near the top of the pop chart. It is light pop dance fluff, but it may just be the fun track that will get mainstream pop audiences dancing and singing along.
