Tan Zhaohan, the worker who in charge of the rice planting, says they have planted rice on the roof of 3 workshops (A total area of ​​3 acres) so far. The boss have this idea at the beginning of making plan for the factory. So they enhanced the waterproof to ensure the water contained on the roof instead of leaking into the workshop.

The factory has kept doing this for 3 years, and the result shows positive effect. The water are pumped from underground, every workshop sets 6 drains. They adjust the water volume according to the needs of precipitation and growth of rice. As there is no need to worry about weeds, so the production is higher than common land.

The manager, Liu Xinsheng, says there is another feature. The rice planting on roof also can adjust the inner temporature of the workshop, reduce the cost of Air Conditioning.
