67 killed in East China's under-construction power plant collapse

Sixty-seven people have been confirmed dead and another missing as a platform of a power plant's cooling tower under construction collapsed in east China's Jiangxi Province Thursday, rescuers said.

The under construction power plant cost 7.65 Billion RMB, the collapsed part is the stage III of Fengcheng project.

At 22:00 Nov 24, 2016, the reported victims reaches 74.
According to thepaper.cn, Huang Shaohu, the general manager of SDIC Huajing Power Holdings, encouraged the contructor to build without construction drawings in the morning of 29th March 2016 . While, building without construction drawings is totally against relevant Chinese law.

The accident occurred at about 7 a.m. Five injured workers are receiving medical treatment in a local hospital. 

Rescue work is underway.
