25th of Feb 2013, Senior executives of a factory, which locates in Taizhou, bow to greets their workers who continue to work in the factory after Chinese new year holiday.
Chinese low-cost manufacturers are trying various ways to retain workers and attract new ones after the Lunar New Year holiday, as the country's economic recovery brings in more orders.
Factory workers, mostly rural migrants, usually go home for family reunions during the traditional holiday. But many take advantage of the break to find better jobs and therefore do not return to their former employers.

A near-riot broke out at Changshui International Airport in Kunming last Thursday, as wont to happen in Chinese airports now and then. Pictures surfaced of passengers screaming at airline staff, beating up ground crew, climbing over check-in counters, commandeering the airport’s broadcast system and generally taking their anger out on any computers or ticket machines they could get their hands on.

In late December of 2012, a homeless person froze to death under an overpass in Yuhua District of Changsha City, Hunan Province. On Jan. 3, another homeless person followed suit in the city's Kaifu District.
